Chest X-Rays

It is extremely important to use the chest x-ray to help plan entry into the chest.  It is important to have knowledge of the internal anatomy as it correlates to the external or surface (chest wall) anatomy.  The chest x-ray will help with identifying the height of the diaphragm as well as the location of the heart in the chest (superior -inferior as well as lateral displacement).
